Abara Cad Ebra
A downloadable Adventure Zine
(Chapter One Available Now!)
Far south, at the very fingertips of the Crown's reach, lies the coastal village of Ebra, home to fishermen, farmers, and a young woman doing her best to keep the village standing.
Abara Cad Ebra is written as an example of what an adventuring region written with The Old School Referee could look like.
This adventure zine, when finished, will feature:
- The Village of Ebra (Overview Done, full map in the works)
- The Robber Baron's Fort (Complete, needs playtesting)
- Abara's Tree - A place of power stumbled upon by a young woman trying to save her village, despite the fact that she doesn't understand it all yet. (In Development)
- The Witch Hunters' Camp - A potentially dangerous or helpful group determined to control the use of dangerous unlicensed magics. (In Development)
- The Old Castle - A cursed castle from time immemorial, haunted by its old guards and residents. Filled in equal measure with peril and treasure. (In Development)
- A Traveling Circus - The Ringmaster made a habit of learning and selling secrets, but after being discovered, he's taken his troop as far from civilization as possible to avoid a grizzly end. (In Development)
- A Monastery Under Attack - No one knows where the demon came from, or why it now lays siege to the Riverchant Monastery, but the villagers are starting to note the monks' absence... (In Development)
All illustrations will be hand-drawn by me. While I considered using more public-domain art, I thought it would be a good challenge to make the art myself. I'm enjoying the practice, anyway!
Why the Pre-Release?
The main reason I'm "pre-releasing" this adventure zine is to make it available to those who have backed the "3-Zine Fundraiser" without need for any additional purchases.
Thanks again for supporting me, and happy gaming!
What About Inisval?
If you are more excited about the other adventure I'm intending to include, have no fears! It is still in the works, but inspiration struck for Abara, and I knew I had to move fast to get it out before its scope creeped up any further. It will also be a good practice run for writing future adventures.
